Happy Hollow Resort, where lifetime memories begin!

Located directly on the banks of Table Rock Lake in Southern Missouri, Happy Hollow Resort hosts 14 cabins and cottages nestled on a quiet peninsula. Established in 1961, Happy Hollow is one of the original, and more successful, small resorts operating since the creation of Table Rock Lake. It boasts a unique 400 feet of open shoreline that provides guests amazing views and easy lake activity access.

Resort guests enjoy its 16-slip private dock with fishing, cruising and sport watercraft rentals, a large 40,000-gallon walk-in pool with adjoining hot tub, hiking trails to its peninsula point, playground, sports areas, lakefront firepits and grilling picnic areas in a park-like setting.

On this little piece of paradise you’ll find the idyllic accommodations are as beautiful and unique as the surroundings. Built of pine wood inside and out, each lakefront cabin offers a rustic feel hosting contemporary touches and amenities such as free hi-speed wi-fi, charging ports, HDTVs, high-quality bedding and decor, remodeled baths and full kitchens.

Owners since 2016, Tommy and Melissa O’Brien have a passion for historic preservation and creating a timeless, memorable experience that brings families and friends together. “Most of our summer customers consist of family reunions traveling from across the country, some of whom have made Happy Hollow their annual reunion destination for 40+ years,” said Melissa who functions as the resort’s General Manager. “During the Spring and Fall months, fishing enthusiasts seek out our  resort’s on-site boat launch and easy-access dock slips, being close to Long Creek and Table Rock State Park Marina fishing tournaments.”

While the owners proudly keep the traditions that have come to be treasured year after year by new and returning clientele alike, they have continued to look to ways to improve on their vacation experience. “Happy Hollow is historically known for its lake views and unique ‘paired’ cabins in which two cabins can adjoin to create one larger cabin.   Today we also offer a large oasis pool with walk-in shallow end among fountains, as well as  high-quality boat rentals to enrich our guest experience,” said Melissa. “Watercraft rentals include top brand fishing boats and hi-speed sports pontoons.”

As the Table Rock Lake area continues to grow with new vacation accommodations, Melissa feels Happy Hollow Resort remains especially unique in comparison.  “Even with the lake’s unprecedented growth in large  lodging complexes, we see more and more travelers seeking a distinctive small resort experience,” she said. “We provide a time-remembered place with side-by-side lakefront cottages where its easy to enjoy the outdoors, reunite, meet others, and know us as owners on a first name basis.”

And if the serene setting and outdoor activities weren’t enough, Happy Hollow is a short drive from the excitement of that entertainment Capitol of the Ozarks, Branson. “We are 8 miles from the Arkansas state line and close to area attractions such as Branson Landing, restaurants, Silver Dollar City, Dogwood Canyon, Top of the Rock Big Cedar, and the new Payne’s Valley Golf Course,” Melissa said.

Of course, the proof of any establishment is in the customer reviews and Happy Hollow Resort has racked up high ratings over the years. Here is just a sample of some of those five-star Google accolades:

“Happy Hollow is truly a little slice of heaven. Our family comes to Happy Hollow every year and it's the trip we all look forward to the most! The cabins are always immaculately clean and have become a home away from home for us.” - Adam D.

“Had a relaxing, wonderful time at HHR. Cabins were clean, dock was short, easy walk for boating. Slept like a baby. Enjoyed coffee on front porch with lakefront view, reading book in hammock, hiking on trails, and end to perfect day with sunset views while in hot tub. Highly recommend. A+ resort!” - Flo R.

“If you are a tournament angler in need of a place to stay close to the Long Creek Marina I highly recommend Happy Hollow. I've stayed with them on several different occasions under both the previous ownership and the current. The cabins are clean and affordable with a million dollar view of the lake.” - Cameron B.

“As owners we feel we are in the job of making memories,” Melissa said. “Our primary goal is to preserve and protect our unique small resort experience - a special place where our guests can have fun, relax and look forward to returning again and again.”

Make plans today to experience this gem of a vacation location and start creating your own memories of a lifetime with your family and friends. Cabins are rented by the week, Saturday through Saturday, in the summer months, with a 3-night minimum prior to Memorial Day and after Labor Day. The resort office keeps an on-going wait list for filled summer weeks and turns first to its wait list customers if any cancellations occur.
