Angus Grill & Cantina: Great Food, Good Times

When it’s time to get out of the house, you’ll want it all: great food, good times and a fantastic atmosphere. And Angus Grill & Cantina in Rogers is your destination. From the time you order your appetizers and specialty cocktails, to when you’re finishing up the last bite of the best cheesecake in town, dining at Angus Grill & Cantina is a near-perfect dining experience.

The eatery serves up Angus steaks evenly marbled with their signature jamoke seasoning, herb crusted prime rib and scratch-made delicacies, signature cocktails and so much more…all in a great setting.

“We have steaks, burgers and fajitas,” says Emmanuel Fernandez (Manny) owner of Angus Grill & Cantina. “We also have a wide assortment of finger foods that are very popular with our customers.”

Two particularly popular starters are house specialty Anguspenos, large roasted jalapenos stuffed with their seasoned ground beef and cheese and their Shrimp Jammers, large deep fried tail-on shrimp, cheddar, Monterey jack, cream cheese and diced jalapenos, coated with a seasoned potato breading.

And to complement their delicious food, Angus Grill & Cantina really delivers with one of the most impressive beverage selections in Northwest Arkansas.

“We have 37 different beers on tap and we pride ourselves in the fact that we support all of the local breweries,” Manny boasts. “The local beers that we don’t have on tap we try to have in cans or bottles.”

And if you prefer mixed drinks, Angus Grill & Cantina has an equally impressive selection of wells, mid-shelf and top-shelf available to fit even the most discriminating palates. Pretty much any drink that you can think of, they can make.

The specialty cocktails are of particular note. Two favorites: the Skinny Rita with 1100 silver tequila, lime juice, orange juice triple sec and light agave; and the power-packed Blue Mofo which is a mixture of Deep Eddy Vodka, Jose Cuervo Traditional Silver Tequila, Blue Chair White Rum, Tanqueray Gin and Blue Curaço, topped with a splash of sweet and sour and Sprite. And, of course, the margarita selection is unmatched.

“Don Julio, the top shelf tequila from Mexico, made a shaker for us in the shape of a Don Julio bottle,” Manny notes. “So whenever a customer orders a Don Julio margarita we actually take the shaker to the table, it looks like they are having an entire bottle. It’s a big hit with the customers.”

And perhaps the beverage Angus Grill & Cantina is best known for is the Poncho Villa. The Poncho Villa is a 38 oz. margarita with two corona beers flipped upside down into the massive goblet. The Angus Grill & Cantina offers beverage specials throughout the week as well. Besides having happy hour 7 days a week, with drink specials and half-priced appetizers, they have $1.99 margaritas all day on Monday and Tuesday and every Sunday, mimosas are $1.50 all day.

There is seating for larger groups both inside and out. Their patio has a 20-foot fire pit and every Friday through Sunday they feature live Mariachi music. On the music days they open the big garage door that connects the patio to the main restaurant space.

This good-time atmosphere is something that really sets Angus Grill & Cantina apart from other eateries and makes your night out a real experience.

And service? They’ve got that down too. As a result, many of the 5 star customer reviews include not only the food and beverages but the service as well:

“Margaritas are absolutely amazing & delicious! Loved the service from the bartender … shrimp jammers are a hit and the quesadilla burger with guacamole really hit the spot with a Jose Cuervo Pomegranate Margarita!” - S. Harmon

“Good food and a large variety of drinks! Our waitress Abigail was great! She was attentive and had our food out quickly! She even had our 1 year old laughing. We will be eating there again!” - K. Izquierdo

“Hailey was incredibly nice and a very attentive waitress. Food was delicious and came out quickly and lunch prices were pretty good as well. Will eat there again soon.” - A. Rodriquez

It has been Manny’s dream to open a fun, casual dining Angus Grill & Cantina. Unfortunately, the restaurant just had their grand opening shortly before the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions began.

“This is the restaurant bar and grill I’ve always wanted to open,” Manny says. “My partnership with Adan Soto and Carlos Arrguin made the vision happen: a place that people could come and have a good time, and enjoy great food and drinks.”

Angus Grill & Cantina is located on the corner of New Hope and Bellview Road right next to the Pinnacle Hills Promenade Mall. Precautions for diners’ safety are being taken, including servers wearing masks and socially distanced tables.
